Chin Music poetry

Chin Music poetry takes place Thursday with Joseph Legaspi, Aaron Balkan, and Steven Karl. But you should also join us in two weeks, on March 4 at 7 pm, for a reading featuring three fine poets: John Burnside, Ada Limón, and Lindsay Turner.

Renowned Scottish poet John Burnside is the author of twelve collections of poetry, including his SELECTED POEMS and THE HUNT IN THE FOREST, both released in 2009, and seven works of fiction. Burnside has achieved wide critical acclaim, winning the Whitbread Poetry Award in 2000 for THE ASYLUM DANCE, which was also shortlisted for the Forward and T. S. Eliot prizes. Ada Limón is the author of two award-winning books of poetry, LUCKY WRECK and THIS BIG FAKE WORLD; her third collection, SHARKS IN THE RIVER, is forthcoming from Milkweed Editions. Lindsay Turner's poems and criticism have appeared or are forthcoming in Meridian, VERSE online, The Boston Review, Drunken Boat, and elsewhere.

and will be showing all the A's games in 2010, plus any other baseball games you come in and ask for, the fact that we have only two screens (but glorious and large screens) permitting. Opening Day will be April 5; we'll have an A's special that day. Come in, mention that you're here to watch the A's game--it's at 10 pm--and get happy hour ($1 off all drinks) all night. Team Fox movie nights return!

Campy Movie Nights for the benefit of Team Fox return to Pacific Standard on Sunday, February 28th at 2 pm, with The Secret of My Success. The Hard Way follows on Sunday, March 28 at 2 pm. Those watching and drinking for Team Fox will get $1 off all drinks from 2-4 pm.
