Benjamin Kunkel's first novel, INDECISION (Random House), was a national bestseller and was selected as a Notable Book of the Year by The New York Times. Kunkel, a founding editor of N+1, has also written for The New Yorker and The London Review of Books.

"One could quote endlessly from this book, which is made of almost nothing but good lines. . . . Dwight as a character is silly and sometimes shrewd as well as likeable; as a narrator, he's heaven." - The New York Observer

Rivka Galchen's first novel, ATMOSPHERIC DISTURBANCES (FSG; now a Picador paperback), was a New York Times Notable Book and was named one of the best books of 2008 by both Salon.com and Slate. Her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Believer, Zoetrope, and The New York Times. Galchen, who earned an MD from Mount Sinai in 2003, has also been honored with a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers' Award. She currently teaches writing at Columbia University.

"A brainy, whimsical, emotionally contained first novel . . . Galchen’s inventive narrative strategies call to mind the playful techniques of Jonathan Lethem, Franz Kafka, Primo Levi and Thomas Pynchon." - The New York Times
